New Zealand Cricket and Zimbabwe Cricket have agreed to postpone New Zealand's tour of Zimbabwe, which was due to take place in July, by a year. The decision came after discussions between Zimbabwe Cricket's chief executive Ozias Bvute and his counterpart at NZC, Justin Vaughan, during the ICC chief executives' conference in Johannesburg. New Zealand will now tour in June 2010.

The ICC, ICL and BCCI failed to reach a resolution after a three-hour meeting in Johannesburg today on the unauthorised league's request for official recognition. No further discussions are scheduled and the ICL's application will be now be considered once again by the ICC executive board in April.

There is a possibility Andrew Flintoff may not play for the Chennai Super Kings in the 2009 season of the IPL if it will endanger his chances of turning out for England during the summer. ECB chief executive David Collier said the board would be "concerned if any player was carrying an injury that may affect his participation in the Ashes series".

Miandad accepts offer to coach Afghan teamKARACHI: Former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad has accepted the offer made by Afghanistan for coaching their national cricket team.

Talking with Geo News, Javed Miandad said that the cricket officials of Afghanistan contacted him and offered him to coach their national team.

Miandad said that he has accepted this offer informally but asked the Afghan Club to contact the Pakistan government in this regard and only after that send a formal invitation to him.

Pakistan team announced for 1st Test against Sri Lanka KARACHI: Pakistan team has been announced for the first cricket Test against Sri Lanka to be played at The National Stadium, Karachi from Saturday.

Chief selector Abdul Qadir said that he has no differences with team management.

The chief selector PCB announced the team in a press conference here at the Defence Stadium on Wednesday.

The 15-man squad consists of the following players:
